The Stihl HS 45 hedge trimmer as a good choice for home users who will get occasional use out of their hedge trimmer. If you have a few shrubs or hedges around your property, and you don’t need to maintain them very often, the HS 45 would be a good model for you. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver and easy to maintain.

The HS 45 comes in both 18 inch and 24 inch blade versions, and uses an engine that is dubbed the “HomeScaper Series”. This engine features a sleek design and is very accessible in terms of maintenance, with easy access to spark plugs, filters and other features.

Stihl Hedge Trimmers for Professional Applications

The Stihl HSA 65 cordless hedge trimmer is an energy efficient cordless model that is charged when not in use and then battery operated while you are using it. What is so great about the HSA 65 cordless hedge trimmer?

The Stihl HSE 60 electric hedge trimmer and the Stihl HSE 70 electric hedge trimmer are both corded electric models that offer quiet operation and a lightweight design. Even though they are corded, they are very maneuverable. Both of these models are very similar, with the main difference being that the HSE 60 has an 18 inch blade and the HSE 70 has a 24 inch blade. In addition to the easy start system, it also boasts a paper filter element that helps the unit operate better in dusty or dry conditions. This model has a lot of the same features, such as the rotating handle, and is available with a 24 inch blade.

The Stihl HS 86 hedge trimmer is Stihl’s top model for professional use, offering the most power and longest blade lengths. For serious professional use, and for cutting and trimming under heavy duty conditions, there is no better option. This model hedge trimmer also comes in the T and R options, similar to the HS 81. The T model has increased speed for trimming, and the R model has increases torque for thicker shrubs and hedges. What about the features?
